What Others are Saying
With the RFS, farmers have seen stability in the grain markets allowing them to think to the future. This has allowed farmers to spend more on conservation efforts than in the past. Farmers have the revenue to spend on tile, terraces, bioreactors and cover crops to prevent erosion and improve water quality. When the price of corn falls below the cost of production, these will be areas where cuts come first. Lets keep the RFS and let farmers feel comfortable spending money improving water quality and erosion issues.
